Lavender Gin Sour
Here’s an update to your traditional gin sour cocktail — it’ll turn your pucker upside-down. Our recipe ditches the egg white for lavender simple syrup and lime juice. You’ll enjoy notes of sweet, sour, floral and herbal in this fancy libation.

Ingredients
- 2 oz Bluecoat Gin
- 1 oz lavender simple syrup*
- ½ oz fresh lemon juice
- ½ oz fresh lime juice
- Lemon wheel, for garnish
*Lavender Simple Syrup: Combine 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water in a small saucepan over medium heat, whisking until sugar is completely dissolved. Continue heating until the syrup comes to a boil, then remove from heat. Gently crush the lavender leaves, then add to the syrup. Stir, then let sit at room temperature up to 2 hours. Strain into an airtight container and refrigerate.
Directions
- Combine all ingredients, except for garnish, in a shaker filled with ice.
- Shake and strain into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice.
- Garnish with lemon wheel.
