Hennessy Sazerac
Originally from New Orleans, this version of the Sazerac goes back to its roots when it was made with French brandy. A swirl of absinthe imparts flavors of anise and fennel, then add cognac, simple syrup and bitters — cocktail perfection.

Ingredients
- ½ oz Grande Absente Absinthe
- 1 ½ oz Hennessy Cognac VSOP
- ½ oz Keep It Simple Syrup
- 5 dashes Peychaud’s Bitters
- Orange twist, for garnish
Directions
- Swirl first ingredient in rocks glass and pour out excess liquid; set aside.
- Add next three ingredients to a mixing glass filled with ice; stir.
- Strain into prepared glass.
- Garnish with orange twist.
