Infamously dubbed after "The Great Tom Collins Hoax of 1874," this cocktail became a true legend, quickly gaining popularity for its refreshing taste. This easy-to-mix gin classic is essentially a sparkling lemonade with the distinctive herbal flavor of juniper.
Ingredients
- 2 oz gin
- 1 oz fresh lemon juice
- 1 oz simple syrup
- Club soda
- Maraschino cherry, for garnish
- Lemon slice, for garnish
Directions
- Combine all ingredients, except for garnishes and soda, in a shaker filled with ice.
- Shake and strain into a Collins glass filled with fresh ice.
- Top with club soda.
- Garnish with cherry and lemon slice.
